About Me

Have you ever heard anyone say ‘it chose me?’ Looking back I really think that holistic therapies came into my life when I needed it the most. After giving birth to my first baby in my early twenties I felt very low and needed another positive focus. I wanted to help myself feel better so I set about learning about aromatherapy and reflexology, a kind of self-help through natural means, coupled with and alongside orthodox medicine of course.
I embarked on a two year holistic therapy course with the International institute of health and holistic therapies (I.I.H.H.T) I took on extra qualifications at the International therapy examination council (I.T.E.C) in Reflexology, anatomy & physiology, body massage and an advanced diploma in aromatherapy. At the end of the course I was selected and awarded with The Eve Taylor award for outstanding commitment and achievement.
Working as a holistic therapist has enabled me to help myself heal and empower others to improve their health and wellbeing.
My interest in health and wellbeing continued to develop and grow, and I decided to train to be a Midwife and achieved my BSc Hons in Midwifery in 2007.
After giving birth to our second and third son’s I enjoyed time at home with them in their early years. Life took on a whole new direction when we decided to go and live and work in Luxembourg. There, I was privileged to work in a private clinic with women from all over the globe with very different cultures, customs and expectations around pregnancy, giving birth and puerperium. Whilst living in Luxembourg, I delivered antenatal classes to women and their partners, many of whom English was their second language. I also took tours of expectant parents around the Bohler clinic and ran baby massage classes. This experience really enriched my life and it taught me so much about celebrating cultural differences, embracing different expectations and traditions.
We arrived back to England late 2016 and have made Pershore, Worcestershire our home. I have since qualified in Maternity reflexology and can offer specialised tailored treatments to pregnant women.
I now practice at my beautifully refurbished clinic in the heart of rural Worcestershire, near Pershore
My Approach
For me, holistic therapies are about reducing the impact of stress in your life and therefore in your bodily responses. The deeply relaxing nature of reflexology and aromatherapy massage can bring about a balance to bodily functions where perhaps they were previously over active, under active or in a continued stress response, bubbling under the surface. Once the brain no longer considers the body to be stressed as a result of the relaxation, it will switch off stress and hormone responses and balance bodily functions accordingly.
Equally, having time to yourself can lead to greater wellness. ‘Wellness’ is how you look after you from the inside out, emotional wellness builds confidence and self-esteem. This can be how you look after your skin, how you look after your body, taking time to prioritise exercise and how you take time to look after your mind, through meditation or mindfulness.
I treat a lot of people, who are taking positive steps to be kind to themselves by making time to enjoy reflexology and aromatherapy regularly. This is huge, for positive mental health, improved self-esteem and to reduce the burden of everyday stress.
So take some ‘me time,’ prioritise you, book in for a wonderfully relaxing treatment.
Pure Bliss.
